STEP 1: GET ACQUAINTED:
Survey our website. We welcome questions. Sit in on
one of our
monthly Club Meetings
before joining if you wish, but new members
can only be accepted in at very beginning of the meeting.
STEP 2: FEE STRUCTURE & MEMBERSHIP FORM:
Membership and Renewals:
- ALL NEW MEMBERS: There is a
$65 one-time "initiation fee" for
new
members, but if you ever let your membership lapse, that fee could
be required again to re-join (pending the membership rules at the time).
We
now send $35 of your "initiation fee" to the NRA so you can be a
member
and so you can help support their work
on behalf of American gun owners.
New Members also pay a 2009 membership fee
of $115 (whether single
or whole family), but that
2009 membership fee is only $75 for Seniors
aged 65+, or fulltime students in high school or college per details
below..
- RENEWAL MEMBERS: The "initiation fee" is not required.
There is
a 2009 membership fee of $115 (whether
single or whole family), but that
2009 membership fee is only $75 for
Seniors aged 65+, or fulltime students
in high school or college.
- WORK HOURS DISCOUNT FOR RENEWAL MEMBERS ONLY:
If you have documented "work hours" for last year (2008) by submitting the
work hours form, then you have earned a $5 per hour discount,
up to a
maximum $20 discount on renewals..
The "membership service" or "work hours"
usually consists of some
organized and
supervised maintenance jobs on the
grounds or helping
to set up,
run, or clean-up after an event. There are always
plenty of Membership
Service Time
opportunities.
- TEENS / STUDENTS: At the end of the calendar year
in which a teen
"family member" turns 18, they must buy their own membership for the
following calendar year. No "New Member" initiation fee is required
from teens who convert from under a family plan to their own membership.
If the 18 year old is still a full time student in high school or college, the
lower 2009 student rate of $75 per year
applies. Like all members, students
can leverage the Work Hours Discount mentioned above to reduce costs.

Keith Spaulding to request
that we mail a printed form to you.
STEP 3: ATTEND MEMBERS MEETING TO JOIN:
Regular Members Meetings occur on the third Monday of the Month,
but always
check the current
CALENDAR
for confirmation of date and time. Please arrive
about a half hour early in order to meet our club President, Scott Jenkins
and our
Membership Secretary, Keith Spaulding, who will accept your application
form
and your fees by check only please. When the meeting formally begins
(usually
at 7:30pm) you will be asked to wait in the back room for a few minutes while
the
rest of the Membership reviews your application. Then you will be
brought back
into the meeting and asked to announce your name.
STEP 4: NEW MEMBER ORIENTATION:
New members are expected to attend an Orientation meeting and tour of the
grounds.
This usually takes an hour or two and usually is held on the Saturday following
the
meeting at which the new member joined. The exact date and time will be
announced
during the Members Meeting in which you join CRnG.
This session is to help new members:
- gain an understanding of our safety procedures
- get introduced to the various facilities and equipment
- get an outline of the many events and programs offered
- get a review of the range rules, along with a printed copy
- learn how our "Guest" policy works
- learn more about how our membership led club operates
- get any questions answered
- get your access badge (albeit without indoor range access)
Once you have your badge,
there are some OPTIONAL matters for new members
to do on the
CRnG NEW MEMBERS and FORUM ADMIN
webpage.
STEP 5: FOR INDOOR RANGE
ACCESS:
Membership is based on the calendar year. Brand new members are
not
allowed immediate access to
the INDOOR RANGE, but they
may use the OUTDOOR
ranges. We require new members to
complete three months as a club member on the outdoor ranges first.
Then, they
will be
allowed the "Gold" membership card and they
are then eligible for
INDOOR range access.
Once eligible, Members must pass a safety
qualification
test administered
by
a CRNG range officer:
- For unsupervised INDOOR pistol / .22 rimfire range
access
(combination to
the doorlock), you
must pass the
firearms test.
- For unsupervised INDOOR archery range access (combination
to the doorlock),
you must pass
the archery test.
Your membership card must be signed off by the respective range officer
before
using these INDOOR
ranges. Guests are allowed access
to the
Indoor Range
with Gold Card Members, according to the Range Rules
and By-Laws in effect.
STEP
6: MISCELLANEOUS SPECIAL EVENT FEES:
Some events present additional costs to the club, so fees are applied for
some
but not all special events held throughout the year. These fees are
subject
to change at any time:
