Are you a CRGC member, but you are not seeing the Club private areas?

If you are a CRGC member, but you are not seeing the club private boards here, there is a reason!

You may not know that you are missing everything! If you only see a few boards and topics here, then you are missing a lot!

Look at your [Profile], If you do not see 'CRGC Member' under your name on the left, then this system does not recognize you as a CRGC member (this doesn't apply to those listed as a moderator, etc.).

The reason for this happening is that the email address you used to register on this forum is not in the club database!

As an example, some people have more than one email address, perhaps one @msn.com and one @comcast.net. Or your email address was changed and you didn't notify the club (for those that went from @verizon.net to @myfairpoint.net).

As an example, club may have your @comcast.net email address, but you used your @msn.com email address here.

How can you fix this? Either click the [Profile] button on the menu at the top and then click [Account Settings], and change your email address on this forum to the one that you gave the club.

Or you can contact the club secretary and give him your new email address and wait for him to upload the new security list here.

After you make any changes, log out, then log in again.

Another reason could be that you did not provide your email address to the club on your club membership application form. If this is the case, you must contact the club membership secretary to ask that your email address is added to your club record.

How do you know if you are seeing the CRGC private boards here?

You will see 'CRGC Member' under your name in the profile.

Click here, if you get an error message that says "The topic or board you are looking for appears to be either missing or off limits to you." then you are not recognized by this system as a CRGC member and you are missing out!

If this is the case, either join the CRGC or if you are already a CRGC member, be sure your email address that you entered into this forum is the same one you gave to the CRGC.

What are you missing if this system does not recognize you as a CRGC Member?

About 32 different boards here!  8)

If the system doesn't recognize you, then you will see about only 5 publicly viewable boards.

Get on board, get registered!

Sometimes a week or so after the meeting when you are voted in.

It depends on when the secretary uploads the new membership database after the meeting. Sometimes it takes him a bit of time to input all the data and upload it.

Hi Rich.  I was wondering if my wife and I could come by and look at the facilities.  I am trying to convince her to join the club and start shooting again.  She was an All American shooter at the U of Houston many many years ago, and has not been active in shooting since graduation.  I am looking for a nice rifle for her - either air or 22 - as well.  My email address is meaton@northeastplanning.com.  We are available most times during the weekend and would love to come visit.

Sure, come on by and visit! It's probably best to contact someone such as our president to setup a tour. You can contact him through the web site here: http://www.chesterrodandgunclub.com/information/officers
Or stop by on one of our open range nights (Wednesday night 7 to 9 PM or Saturday night 7 to 9 PM), but you will only be able to see the indoor range as it will be too dark to see the out door ranges.
We have an active club and there are several active female shooters, so your wife will be welcome and I'm sure she will feel comfortable.
