2011 membership form ?
« on: November 26, 2010, 09:41:45 AM »
Hi
I am a little confused about the process to join.

1. Do I use the on-line 2010 application for a 2011 membership ?

2. Do I just show up with the application and fees on the the 3rd Monday or do I mail it  in advance ?

3. Is there a special form to use to join the NRA through CR&G ? Should i just use the form from the NRA and bring it with me ?

Thanks
Frank

Frank,
Yes use the 2010 application form as you are joining in 2010. You can download the application form from the CRGC website or you can make out the application when you come to the members meeting on Monday December 20th at 6:45Pm. No need to mail it in just bring your application and check for $180 to the aforementioned member's meeting.
We have the NRA application forms for your membership and we send it in with the first year dues for you.

What are the dues for family membership renewal for 2011?  I missed the Nov meeting and the results are not posted on the forum or anyplace else.  Did not receive the dues increase message from Colin but got the second message from Colin about  the ammended statement about the new dues structure.  Not sure why I did not  get the first message but got the second one.  Please post the dues for 2011 for the benefit of those who have not yet gotten the information.

                                  Thanks,

Apparently my message about renewal and fees got lost in cyber space. I will resend it. In the meantime the 2011 dues for both a single and family membership is $125. If you submitted at least 4 work hours in 2010 your dues for 2011 would be $105. Seniors 2011 dues remained at $75, and $55 with 4 work hours credit. Students 2011 dues remained at $65, and $45 with 4 work hours credit
Additionally the work hours required to get a credit on the 2012 dues was increased to 6 hours which would give you a $30 credit for 2012 dues.

There are a lot less expensive clubs in the area. Why would anyone be dumb enough to join this one.

I've belonged to three other NH rod and gun clubs, a couple of which were larger than this one, and I can say this one is the best of them. This club is more about shooting than politics and money. Lots of diverse shoots, a good membership and well maintained facilities.

I know a member may have disagreements and there may be issues that get a member fired up, but that's generally the exception. We have hundreds of members who enjoy the club as do I.

Additionally the work hours required to get a credit on the 2012 dues was increased to 6 hours which would give you a $30 credit for 2012 dues.

Apparently I misinterpreted the intent of the membership regarding one aspect of the membership renewal dues structure for 2011.

This applies ONLY to the 2011 dues amount for members who submitted a minimum of four (4) hours of work hours in 2010.

Any member who submitted four or more work hours for 2010 work hours will receive a credit of $30 toward their 2011 dues of $125 making their net dues $95.  Not the $105 as previously published.

The Club will reimburse $10 to any member who has already sent in their 2011 dues of  $105.  The $10 reimbursement check will be sent to you along with your new badge strip sticker in the first week of February.

I apologize for this misunderstanding and for any inconvenience it may have caused.

Colin,

Thanks for this update!

Does this mean the 2011 membership form that is available online here needs to be updated as it states a maximum of 4 hours of work credit.

If a new form is needed, I will update it as soon as I receive it.

Thanks!
Rich

Rich,
I know about the form but don't change it as that will really confuse things. Because for this instance you need only 4 hours to get the $30 discount. If we change it to 6 some who worked at least 4 hours but less than 6 hours wouldn't be eligible for the discount.

Ok, no problem. I'm confused anyway! I just uploaded the new form that you sent me, so it should be all set (I hope). So if anyone previsouly downloaded the form, they may want to do it again.

From the meeting, I thought there was a 6 hour maximum to get the $30, but I am probably confused.  8-}
