NRA Women on Target Clinic coming to CRNG
« on: June 30, 2010, 01:13:22 AM »
Attention Ladies

An NRA Women on Target Instructional Shooting Clinic is being held on Sunday Sept. 19th from Noon to 5 pm here at CRNG. A rain date is scheduled for Sept. 26th if needed. This event is open to all female members of the club as well as any other women interested in learning to safely handle and shoot a gun. Women of all levels of experience are welcome with extra attention for those with little or no experience. The clinic will combine class training with actual shooting experience. Experienced instructors and range officers will be on hand to provide a safe and enjoyable experience.

The primary event will be a handgun clinic, however we may be able to add rifle, archery, or zapping clay pigeons out of the sky with shotguns if there is enough interest. Our goal is to tailor this event to your needs. There will be a very modest fee for the clinic, which averages around $40, based on the type of events that are chosen and we'll let everyone know well in advance. Use of guns and ammunition will be included or you may bring your own and get a reduced fee. We will have another way that you can reduce your entry fee that you'll find out about when you sign up. All ladies participating will recieve goodie bags with some nice items including safety gear. Everyone will also be entered for a chance to attend an NRA Pistol class for free. You will definitely get a bang for your buck  ;).

Since this is our first time putting on the clinic, we will be limiting attendance to about 25 in order to give everyone lots of hands on time at the range. So get in on this early to reserve your spot, spread the word to your friends (and your wives guys), and let us know what you are interested in. We'll take it from there and have a blast.
For further information and reservations, please contact event directors Beverly or Howard Houle at aim-n-shoot@comcast.net.
Thanks and we look forward to seeing all your smiling faces  ;D.

Here is an update of the details on the clinic. We have decided on a maximum of 24 ladies and the entry fee will be $30. We will be shooting .22 handguns, small .22 rifles, and the sporting clays folks have offered to teach you about that activity if you are interested. A copy of the clinic flyer is attached to this message and can be downloaded for information and to share with a friend that might be interested. As mentioned, pre registration is required, so I would encourage you to contact my wife Beverly via e-mail at: aim-n-shoot@comcast.net with the information requested in the flyer. We will put you on the list and give you payment information. This is first come, first served.  In the event that the clinic fills up, we already have plans to offer another clinic sometime in the future at a date TBD.
We will keep everyone who signs up informed by e-mail as we get closer to the clinic date. Thanks and hope to see you there.

The Womens Clinic still has seats available but is starting to fill up. This is a first come, first served event. If you are interested but have been waiting, please consider signing up soon so you aren't disappointed. This will also help us to better plan our program of events for the day and allow you to set aside the time on your calendar before any conflicts arise. Thank you.

There are only a few days left before the registration deadline on Sunday the 5th. The response has been great and we are down to the last few seats, so if you have been thinking about joining us, now is the time to act. Please e-mail my wife Beverly at aim-n-shoot@comcast.net if you are interested in coming. We will let you know if there are any more seats. Once all seats have been filled, we will be taking names for our next Women's event at a date TBD. Thanks.
